Innsbruck

Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, the western region of Austria, is a city that stands in the Alps and has always been a destination for winter sports. Innsbruck is also known for its imperial and modern architecture. The Nordkette cable car, with its futuristic stations designed by architect Zaha Hadid, from the city center climbs up to 2256 m high carrying skiers in winter and hikers or mountaineers in the warmer months.
