Cortina d'Ampezzo

Cortina d’Ampezzo is a ski resort in northern Italy. It is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, which includes Falzarego Pass, with its alpine ski slopes. Sites associated with the 1956 Winter Olympics, which took place in Cortina, include Lo Stadio del ghiaccio, the bobsleigh track Eugenio Monti and the Trampolino Olimpico Italia. To the west of the city, the Tofane region offers a snowpark for jumps and figures. The Giau pass is a popular site for snowkite enthusiasts.
